Casey Bell

Casey first discovered yoga in her teens, but it wasn’t until the Christchurch earthquakes that she returned to Yoga. Following the earthquakes, Casey began to suffer from anxiety, panic attacks, and insomnia. She needed to heal herself from the inside out; remembering yoga, she resumed a home based practise.

Loving all things wellness, self-care, and movement orientated, Casey is a 1st-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. Teaching kids and adults at Hyeon Mu Taekwondo Christchurch; she sees the interconnections of yoga practise and martial arts; each complimenting the other on many levels.

Casey achieved a Bsc in Biological Sciences in 2011 before completing her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Santosha Yoga Bali in 2015.  She has since completed training to teach pre/post-natal yoga & SUP (stand up paddle) Yoga.

Casey is dedicated to her own ongoing education; attending as many workshops as possible.  “Self-care is not always easy, but it is always worth it”

Jenafer Matthews

Jenafer has been practicing and exploring the mind-body connection and movement methodologies for over 17 years, as a means of finding balance whilst navigating a fast-paced career in marketing and multiple relocations.

She trained and taught Pilates in Melbourne, during graduate school as International Rotary Scholar in 2004-2005. Jenafer took a break from teaching as she set up life and jobs in New York City, Christchurch, Los Angeles, and Portland OR and raising a young child. During this time she developed a daily morning yoga practice and became hooked on the teaching style of Kia Miller of Radiant Body Yoga Los Angeles.

Jenafer trained in the Radiant Body Yoga method in 2022, excitedly stepping back into the role of movement teacher. Jenafer’s teaching reflects this breath-focused approach that fuses the benefits of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Kundalini styles of yoga. She also brings foundational principles of Pilates into her yoga teaching.

Jenafer’s favourite leisure activities are hiking, growing her own food, adventuring, spending time with her son and husband and learning about the incredible human body and modalities for healing and wellbeing.

Having experienced how Yoga has transformed her life, Jenafer is inspired to share with those desiring more calmness, clarity, heart-filled joy and ease in their body and mind.
